Join art muse and contemporary art critic Lindsay Preston Zappas on a walking tour exploring Hollywood's foremost galleries and their contributions to the city-wide art initiative, Pacific Standard Time: Latin America/Los Angeles. We'll begin at Regen Projects, whose upcoming exhibit examines the influence of the Latin American diaspora in art from 1940 to now. We'll continue with the Los Angeles Nomadic Division's survey, Jose Dávila: Sense of Place, featuring sculptural installations, photographs, drawings, and models from the Guadalajara-based artist. We'll conclude our tour at LAXART, where we'll investigate Video Art in Latin America, the first major U.S. retrospective to highlight the groundbreaking contributions of Latin American artists to the genre of video-art.
