Join Art Muse Director Clare Kunny for an intimate exploration of the Getty's must-see exhibit, Golden Kingdoms: Luxury and Legacy in the Ancient Americas. Part of the Getty's Pacificic Standard Time: LA/LA initiative, Golden Kingdoms traces the history of luxury arts in the Americas, from 1000 BC to the arrival of Spanish conquistadors in the early 16th century. With over 300 objects, many made from precious metals and adorned with lavish colors, this exhibit examines the socio-cultural, political, religious, and economic role of luxury arts, and bears witness to the often-forgetten brilliance of the Ancient Americas.
