Join writer, advisor and educator Jennifer S. Li in exploring the range of cultures, generations, concerns, topics, and mediums presented and represented by the disparate group of 13 artists included in "Scratching at the Moon” at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles—proof that Asian-Americans are far from a “Model Minority” or a monolith. Surprisingly, for a city that counts Asians as amongst its third-largest racial group, this is the first major exhibition focusing on Asian-American artists in Los Angeles.
