Join Art Muse in Miami lecturer Ross Karlan for an exploration of Cuban and Cuban-American art in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month. Cuba offers a rich cultural history, vibrant emerging artists, and a dynamic space in the global art world, and the Cuban diaspora is no different. With only 90 miles of distance, yet worlds apart, Cuba and Miami’s unique relationship and blended histories will take center stage in this virtual program. We will examine a wide range of artists both on the island and abroad, Cuba's place in Miami’s growing art scene, the Havana Biennial, and more.
