PART 1 | Reframing Portraiture

Join visual artist and art lecturer Regina Mamou as we explore portraits from the 16th century to the present. This overview will provide us with a starting point for our series on portraiture and set the foundation for close looking in the weeks to come. Regina will select a diverse range of portraits from an international group of artists working in the mediums of photography, painting, and sculpture, among others. Reframing Portraiture will be an experience in revisiting well-known works alongside lesser-known portraits and observing individuals through the lens of history, culture, and society.
